Samsung Display (SDC) reported a 62.9 percent market share of mobile OLED panels in the third quarter. During this period, Samsung Display shipped 86.3 million mobile OLED panels, holding on to its No. 1 position, but its market share fell 5.9 percentage points from 68.8 percent in the previous quarter and more than 10 percent compared to 73.8 percent in the same period last year. In response, StonePartners explained that its rigid OLED panel shipments fell sharply, resulting in a lower overall share.

BOE came in second, shipping 21 million mobile OLED panels during the period, with a 15.3 percent market share. The company's market share increased significantly by supplying panels for Apple's iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 and Huawei's Mate50. BOE's market share was 11.3 percent in the previous quarter, compared to 9.9 percent in the third quarter last year.

Visionox's market share also increased significantly. During this period, the company shipped 10 million mobile OLED panels, or 7.3 percent. Visionox's market share was 6.9 percent in the previous quarter, compared to 3.8 percent in the third quarter of last year.

LG Display was fourth, shipping a total of 7.3 million panels with a 5.3 percent market share. LGDisplay's market share increased slightly from the previous quarter (5.2 percent), but declined compared to the same quarter last year (6.1 percent.) StonePartners explained that LGDisplay is directly impacted by changes in Apple's demand because of its relies heavily on Apple.

In addition, Wafer Works ranked fifth with a 4.0% share and Huaxing Optoelectronics ranked sixth with a 3.2% share. Tianma, which ranked 7th, shipped a total of 2.9 million panels and had a 2.1% market share. In the third quarter of this year, the market share of Hophite, Huaxing Optoelectronics and Tianma all increased compared to the previous quarter and the same period last year.
